Dunstanburgh Castle

I spent the night on the Northumberland coast near the historic Dunstanburgh Castle and it was one of the calmest nights I had experienced for a long time. As I was waiting for the Milky Way Core to rise in the early hours of the morning. I listened to the sound of the ocean below and watched as the universe passed on by. I find that I can just switch off from everything else that is happening in the world and concentrate on that one moment.

I captured the foreground separate to the sky and it was all taken from the same location. I had planned the image ahead of time by using multiple applications that helped me determine the best time and location to capture the image I wanted.
