Silbury Hill by Philip Selby

Silbury Hill

Silbury Hill forms part of a complex of Neolithic monuments near Avebury in Wiltshire and at 39 metres, is the tallest prehistoric man-made mound in Europe. During the winter months, the rising sun briefly illuminates the underside of an old bridge spanning the often dry upper reaches of the river Kennet; adding a warming splash of colour to the scene on this cold, frosty morning.
