Porkellis Mine Engine House

Cornwall was a hive of mining industry until fairly recently. But the passing of time hasn't been kind to many of these important historic sites. The Engine House at Porkellis is quickly disappearing into the wood and probably hasn't got many years left. It is possible to get into the building but it's a bit of a fight through the undergrowth. This shot has taken with a drone and shows just how nature is reclaiming this site.
