Bass Rock Lighthouse

The Bass Rock lighthouse was built in 1902 by renowned Scottish lighthouse engineer David Stevenson. It was manned until 1988 when it became fully automated. With no people living on the rock it attracted seabirds, and today is home to the world's largest colony of northern gannets.
