Red Sands Maunsell Fort

The Maunsell fort system was sited during the second world war between 1942 and 1943 off the east coast of England. Some were also sited near Liverpool although these were removed after the War. Red Sands fort is the most complete of the remaining 'army' commissioned design with all seven towers standing.
